About Janet Reed

My Fees

I charge a fee of £45 per hourly session. I charge a reduced hourly rate of £35 per session to clients who are claiming benefits or students.

Please note that this must be agreed prior to our first session, and I require proof from you such as student union card or letter, or email from the Department for Work and Pensions, in order for me to offer this reduced rate.

I review my fees on an annual basis in April and I will give you two months’ notice of any proposed increase.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have tried to put together a list of my most frequently asked questions to put your mind at ease, if you would like any more information about my bereavement counselling services in Chorley, please get in touch.

A: When you first get in touch, I offer a free, no-obligation  consultation, when you can find out if you think that I may be the right therapist for you.

One session a week is a good guide if you’re just starting counselling. We can discuss reducing the number of sessions to twice monthly, then monthly as you work your way through your issues.

There are no set rules and no limit to the number of sessions you can have. We will include a reflection chat approximately every 4 weeks to see if you feel that you are making progress and whether you feel ready to end.

Unfortunately, no. The counselling I offer is built around the trusting and confidential relationship built between ourselves.

Each session lasts for one hour.

Fees are payable by bank transfer before each session.
